[Official] Actor Park Bo Gum joins the military on August 31st

Actor Park Bo Gum (27) will join the Navy as a cultural advocate on August 31st.

On the 25th, Park Bo Gum's management office Blossom Entertainment announced official position and said, "Park Bo Gum has passed the Navy's Cultural Public Relations" and will enrol on the coming August 31st.

The management office side said, "We plan to finish shooting movie "Wonderland" and TV Series "Youth Records" before joining the army." "Park Bo Gum asks for support so that he can fulfill its duty of national defense".

Park Bo Gum, who majored in musicals at Meiji University, applied for the Navy's military music and honor guard battalion culture public relations soldier keyboard part, and on the 1st of this month, he took a practical skill/interview test at the Navy headquarters in Chungcheongnam-do. After that, on the 25th, the final pass judgment was received.

Park Bo Gum, will enter the Navy's 669th education curriculum at 2:00 pm on August 31st, and will receive six weeks of basic military training. Currently, the Navy's basic military training is 5 weeks, including the week entering, but as from August 31st the training period will become 6 weeks.
