On the 11th, Kim Yong-chul said, “On Wednesday, I returned home without eating much breakfast at SBS, and suddenly felt like eating jjajangmyeon and ramen at the same time, so I did.” He continued, "The jjajangmyeon was a little spicy, and about 30 minutes later, I started to feel a sharp pain in my stomach. Even after taking medicine from the pharmacy and taking a nap, I didn't feel any better, so I ended up going to the emergency room around midnight. The diagnosis was “paralytic ileus.”
He added, “My intestines temporarily stopped functioning, so I needed to be hospitalized, and I am currently in the hospital. I am feeling much better now, but seafood (including anything eaten within the past 48 hours) and spicy foods were the culprits. It was really painful, but I'm glad I went to the emergency room right away, even though it was late at night.”
Kim Young-chul also mentioned, “The nurses and doctors said there are quite a few emergency patients with this condition,” and concluded, “Be careful with food in the summer, especially spicy and salty foods! Especially for those like me who can't handle spicy foods. I'll be back to greet you all again in good health.”

On Wednesday, I returned home without eating much breakfast at SBS,
and suddenly felt like eating both jajangmyeon and ramen at the same time, so I ate them.
The jajangmyeon was a bit spicy, and about 30 minutes later, my stomach started to hurt as if it were being scraped.
I took medicine for stomach pain at the pharmacy and took a nap, but it didn't get better,
so I ended up going to the emergency room (Suncheonhyang Hospital) around midnight.
The diagnosis was “paralytic ileus,”
a temporary stoppage of the intestines, requiring hospitalization, and I am currently hospitalized.
I am feeling much better now,
but it seems that seafood (including anything eaten within the past 48 hours) and spicy foods were the culprits.
It was really painful,
and I'm glad I went to the emergency room right away, even though it was late at night.
The nurses and doctors mentioned that there are quite a few emergency patients coming in with this condition.
During the summer, be careful with your diet,
and “watch out for spicy and salty foods!” Especially for those like me who don't handle spicy foods well.
I'll be back to greet you all again in good health.
Gyeong-hwan, thank you for filling in today (DJ).
