”Breathing with the world through dance”... The 31st Changmu International Arts Festival

The 31st Changmu International Arts Festival, which has promoted Korean creative dance to the world, will be held from August 22 to 30 at the Arko Arts Theater Grand Theater, Post Theater, and Sejong Arts Center.
This year's theme was "Voices of the Earth," and the event aimed to stimulate the creative will and imagination of performing artists, while also providing a forum for lively interaction between artists from Japan and abroad.
The Sejong Performing Arts Center will be showcasing works by young choreographers. On the 22nd, young dancers NARB, Yoon Su-kyung and Cho Yul-labare will be performing.
The company will participate and perform a "dance with commentary." In addition, Rebecca Laufer and Mads van Rossem (Netherlands) will be performing from abroad, and Baek Yong Ballet Project Y (
Baek Yong), ndamiro art company (Kim Jung Hwa Ng) will appear and perform invited performances. On the 23rd, "60th Anniversary of the Normalization of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Korea" will be held at the Arco Arts Theater Grand Theater.
A special performance will be held to commemorate the occasion. The performance will feature Sankai Juku, a world-renowned dance company representing Japan, Collectief Mamm from the Netherlands, Lewis from Australia, and more.

In the "U PRIZE," the four teams that passed the preliminary round (Choi Yun-sil, Choi Jae-hee-keuk, Kim Kwang-ji, and Park Jun-young) will compete in a heated contest.
At the Post Theatre (25th-29th), a variety of dance pieces incorporating a global sensibility will be performed.
The "Festival Seoul & NY" program has started, and Kim Hye-hyun, Kim Young-woong, and Kim Gyu-hee, who gained popularity in 2024 on Mnet's "Stage Fighter,"
The opening performance will be by Choi JaeWoo-won and Bae HyunWoo, who won gold medals at the East Asia Dance Competition. In addition, three overseas teams from the United States and the Netherlands, and a group of dancers from both Japan and overseas who have applied will also be performing.
