IVE member Lay recently held a live broadcast to communicate with fans.
During the broadcast, Ray shared that she had been "carrying herself with dignity".
She continued, "I thought that if our perspective changed, the world might become a better place," adding, "It seems societal awareness is crucial."
Rei also confided, "I too experienced illness in the past... though it was a different kind of pain... suffering is the same," expressing her hope that "awareness could improve a little more."
Alongside this, she emphasised, "I studied and went through it," stating, "I hope society becomes one where we can easily share our pain."
Prior to this, on the 15th, a charity event for magazine 'W Korea's 20th Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign' was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jongno District, Seoul.
W Korea's 'Love your W' is an annual charity event held since 2006 to raise awareness of breast cancer among women and highlight the importance of early screening.
However, a breast cancer patient who saw this expressed discomfort, stating, "I don't understand how celebrities drinking alcohol and socialising has any positive impact on raising breast cancer awareness," adding, "It rather makes me feel like I'm being mocked."
Singer Park Jae-beom's celebratory stage performance of his song "MOMMAE" also became an issue. Concerns were raised about whether lyrics that objectify women and contain explicit descriptions were appropriate for this event.
Furthermore, it was pointed out that despite being a charity event running for 20 years, the scale of donations remains minimal.
Amidst this, Ray made a conceptual statement, drawing intense interest.
