On October 31, Judge Mu issued a summary order imposing a fine of 2 million won (approximately 200,000 yen) on Lee Kyung-gyu for allegedly violating the Road Traffic Act. This is the same amount as the sum agreed upon by the prosecution.
Lee Kyung-gyu is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on June 8th.
At the time, due to a mistake by a parking attendant, Lee Kyung-gyu was traveling in another vehicle of the same model as his imported car, and was reported to the police by the vehicle owner.
During this process, he was subjected to a breathalyzer test and a simple reagent test, and the simple reagent test came back positive. After receiving the positive result from the National Forensic Service, the police charged Lee Kyung-gyu with violating the Road Traffic Act.
In response, Lee Kyung-gyu admitted that he had taken legal prescription drugs, but said, "I was told not to drive when I was feeling unwell after taking medication for panic disorder.
He bowed his head and said, "I was not fully aware of this."
