In a round interview to commemorate the end of "The Business of the Five Elements," Lee Junho revealed behind-the-scenes stories from the filming of the TV series. The villain Pyo Hyun-jun, played by Mu Jin-sung, is in sharp conflict with the main character Kang Tae-poong.
Lee Junho laughed and said, "We were saying among ourselves that it was almost like a love scene," and added, "Whenever we were in the same frame, our faces were always close to each other.
"It's not like that," he said, but every time we met we would get closer, almost groaning, so we could see each other's faces and lips clearly. It was a constant stream of awkwardness and amusement," he recalled.
He also spoke about the natural flow of the scenes with Kim MinA, who was his real love interest. "I felt like the 'love scenes' with Moo Jin Sung were the main focus.
Around the time I was in the middle of filming, I filmed a romance scene with Mina. We had become so close that I remember thinking it might be awkward. But when we actually filmed, it wasn't like that at all.
Lee Junho added, "Not only with Mina, but with the other actors who played the employees in 'Daepoong Trading Co.,' we were able to naturally move in each other's positions without having to discuss it in detail during rehearsals.
"With Mina-san, we had a lot of scenes together, so I felt like we were able to mesh more naturally. The parts we had rehearsed together, but when it came to the actual scene, we had to adjust to the atmosphere on set.
Lee Junho, who has been appearing in a series of films in recent years, said, "I'm really grateful. I'm glad to have a film that I can start filming right away."
"Every time I take on a new challenge as an actor, I enjoy the work of creating a new character, so I'm really enjoying being an actor.
I am happy to have been given such an opportunity, and I hope to continue doing it for the rest of my life," she said with a smile.
Lee Junho followed with "Red Sleeves," "King the Land," and "Taepoong Trading Co."
He joked that he wanted to keep hitting the charts for the rest of his life, but added, "There are some things I can't do on my own. But I'm human, so of course I want to do well every time."
"However, the standard for what is 'successful' differs for each work. I hope that the mindset and spirit of 'Taepung Trading Co.' that we were trying to convey through this TV series will be conveyed properly.
"If I'm lucky next time, I hope my good fortune of consecutive hits will continue," he said, showing his hopes for the future.
