Lee JunYoung's casting was officially announced after all filming had already been completed. The film "Tokyo Taxi" is a French drama series that gained great popularity in Japan in 2022.
Based on the film "Paris Taxi," this is a touching human drama set in a Tokyo that changes with the times, depicting regrets, reconciliation, and miraculous moments in life as it comes to an end.
This is a TV series. The cast includes top Japanese actors Takuya Kimura, Chieko Baisho, Yu Aoi, Takaya Sakoda, and Yuka. In addition, Lee JunYoung will be representing Korea in a central role.
In the drama, Lee Junyoung plays Kim Young-gi, the first love of the main character Sumire (Baisho Chieko) when she was young, and shares a deep emotional relationship with Aoi Yu, who plays the young Sumire.
Lee Junyoung said through the management office, "Thanks to Director Yamada's emotional direction, I was able to naturally immerse myself in the character, and although it was a short shoot, it was a very intense experience.

He is known as a master of modern Japanese cinema, having directed "The Great Passage" and "The Great Passage" in 2013. This film marks his first reunion with Takuya Kimura in 19 years, since "Samurai no Ichibun."
"Tokyo Taxi" is scheduled to be released in Japan on November 21st.
