Onew of the group SHINee, now in his 18th year since his debut, is back with his first solo album in a long time, "PERCENT."
This is their first full album release in two years and four months.
Onew is in charge of all aspects of this album, including writing lyrics, arranging, and producing.
The group participated in the event and conveyed the message that "imperfect existence is beautiful in itself."
At the showcase celebrating the release of "T," he said, "While working on the song, I realized that I'm not really alone. Thanks to that, I have people around me who I'm really grateful for.
The album includes the title track "ANIMALS," as well as the released preview tracks "Confidence," "Silky," and "Caffeine."
The album includes 11 songs that incorporate various emotions felt in daily life, such as "I'm Feeling Good," "I'm Feeling Good," and "ANIMALS," which is centered around a sophisticated bass line and acoustic guitar playing.
Using sounds that evoke the cries of animals, the song captures the moment when instincts are released. Onew said of "ANIMALS," "I want to awaken my instincts and listen to this song."
"I made this with the hope that people would enjoy it together when they go out," he said, "because it's summer, I thought that many people would want a refreshing and cool sound, so I prepared it according to the season."
Solo artist Onew's greatest strength is his refreshing voice. He said, "When I was younger, I didn't really like my own voice, but now that I think about it, I realize that I have a unique voice."
"I thought I could use my voice as a weapon," she said, "and now I've gained confidence, so I want to show something interesting to more people."
Onew, who left SM Entertainment last year and became independent, will release a new album and a new album in Asia,
The group will embark on a world tour that will take them to Europe, South America, and other places. Starting in Seoul on August 2-3, the group will then travel to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tokyo, Paris, London, Madrid, Copenhagen, and other places.
I plan to meet with fans in six cities.
