KEY of the group SHINee has revealed a heartbreaking episode in which he had no choice but to hear people gossiping about him directly.
KEY appeared on the second episode of ENA's variety show "Salon Dodol: You're Really Talkative," which aired in Korea on August 1st.
Together with Girls' Generation's Hyo Yeon and BTOB's Changsub, they had conversations on various topics including love, work, and relationships.
On the broadcast that day, KEY said, "Once upon a time, when I went to a room bar, I heard people talking about me behind my back from the room next door.
"There is," he began, to which Hyo Yeon asked, "Don't you know you're in the next room?" to which KEY replied, "Don't you know."
KEY said, "There were four or five women in their 20s and 30s in the room next door, and I was drinking and chatting with my friends."
"When I went out," he said, "I still remember it. It was in Itaewon. I'll never forget it." KEY replied, "I think it was a birthday party.
At first, we were having a fun conversation, but then we started talking about the public broadcasting variety show "I Live Alone" on MBC.
The conversation started. I told someone that I liked them, and then someone showed up who really took it to heart. As we drank, things got more intense, so I was having a discussion next to them, and my friend
"The two of us were holding our breath," he recalled. He continued, "'That person's way of speaking seems a little cheeky,' and we were just sitting next to each other, so of course,
"I was told so frankly that this was the extent of what they could say because they didn't think I was there. But it wasn't easy listening to that," he added.
Hyo Yeon sympathized, "That's difficult," and Changsub said, "I've never heard that (next to me) before."
Hyo Yeon said, "I wish they had just opened the door there."
In response, KEY surprised everyone by adding, "I was worried about whether I should do it or not because they were arguing about me for 40 minutes."
Meanwhile, KEY will be making a comeback with his third full-length album "HUNTER" on August 11th. This new album will have a total of 10 songs, including the title track "HUNTER."
