Moon-ju hires a North Korean defector, Sang-ho (Kang Dong-woo), as her bodyguard, and the two soon become attracted to each other.
However, Sang-ho has a secret, and the two of them are desperate for peace between North and South Korea.
The film is directed by Kim Hee-won, who co-directed "Crash Landing on You" and also directed the hit "Lady of Tears," and "The Outlaws."
The film brings together a team of top creators, including director Heo Myung-haen of "PUNISHMENT" and screenwriter Jeong Seo-kyung of "Sisters."
"Polaris" is currently streaming up to episode 5, and stills from episodes 4 and 5, in which Moon-ju and Sang-ho's romance really takes off, have been released.
In episode 4, Sang-ho's mysterious past is gradually revealed, and Moon-ju's heart becomes more and more complicated. Meanwhile, the hidden cell phone of her assassinated husband, Jun-ik, is discovered, and Moon-ju's heart begins to change.
