The 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) opened on the 17th amid much anticipation from the audience. Kazunari Ninomiya, a member of the popular Japanese idol group Arashi and an actor, will be appearing at the BIFF.
For the first time in history, he appeared on the stage of "Actors House" on the 19th. Ninomiya Kazunari is a Japanese idol who is active both as an actor and as an idol, and has established himself as a dominant figure in both fields.
In front of the audience that day, he spoke sincerely about his interactions with fans, saying, "Fans used to come to me, but now I need to be the one to do more."
The film that brought him to BIFF, "Exit 8," is a thriller set in an endless loop of underground passageways, and its restrained acting is at its core.
Ninomiya Kazunari revealed, "I envisioned a performance that was delicate and restrained, seasoned only with salt and pepper."
He also shared his thoughts on entering the Korean market. Ninomiya Kazunari said, "I hope that 'Exit 8' will be screened at 'BIFF' and that Korean audiences will have the opportunity to see this film as many times as possible.
I'm very happy. My goal from now on is to come to Korea. I hope to be able to meet you all in a more natural and everyday setting.
Although I'm not familiar with Korean, acting and working in Korean has become another new dream for me."
