"Can't Be Helped" is the first Korean film to be selected for the competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival in 13 years.
The film was invited to the Best Picture category at the Toronto International Film Festival and won the International Audience Award at the same festival. Director Park Chan-wook directed "Old Boy," which won the Best Picture award at the same festival in 2004.
In particular, she won the Main Prize in 2007 for "It's Okay to Be a Cyborg" and the Audience Award in 2017 for "The Handmaiden."
