"Targeting Japanese tourists" Gyeonggi-do DMZ tourism resources publicity fam tour held
Gyeonggi-do and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization held a tour of DMZ tourism resources in Gyeonggi-do targeting Japanese tourists.

According to the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization on July 27th, publicity was held on the 26th around the DMZ tourism resources in the Paju area, including the Imjingak Peace Gondola, Camp Greaves, and Dokke Bridge, which was destroyed by bombing during the Korean War. The tour was attended by 27 tour guide interpreters and product developers visiting Korea.

In order to attract Japanese tourists, who are showing the highest immigration rate since the recent COVID-19 virus, to the Paju DMZ, this Fam Tour is a tour guide interpreter and a product that specializes in guiding Japanese tourists. It was prepared to gain the interest and cooperation of the planners.

Participants will tour Imjingak Peace Gondola, Camp Greaves Exhibition Hall, Dokke Bridge, and other attractions in the Imjingak Peace Nuri area. Through tours of linked contents such as the Unification Observatory and Hyundai Motor Studio Goyang, we will promote "DMZ's unique tourism products" that can attract Japanese tourists to the northwestern region of Gyeonggi-do.

Lotte JTB's Japan inbound manager said, "With this familiarization tour, the understanding of the history and tourism resources of the DMZ, which celebrated the 70th anniversary of the armistice, has increased among the tour interpreters and guides. In addition to providing information, we can also expect it to play a role in publicizing DMZ tourism."
