Name of famous Thai record company is "Kamikaze" ... Korean prof send protest email
The fact that the trade name of a famous Thai record company with about 10 million YouTube channel subscribers is "Kamikaze" has caused controversy.

Sungshin Women's University professor Seo Kyung-deok said on August 1st, "Recently, when I learned that Internet users had provided me with information, I immediately sent an email to protest."

In this e-mail, Professor Xu explained the historical fact that "Kamikaze was a suicide squad that Japan used as a last resort at the end of World War II when it lacked the power to prevent the US military from landing due to a lack of armaments."

“In 2014, Japan caused a great deal of controversy when it tried to register the wills of kamikaze pilots on the UNESCO World Heritage List,” he added.

He also stressed that the name of the record company must be changed, as it could instill a false sense of history among young people in Thailand.

In particular, a few years ago, he introduced the case of changing the name of the kamikaze emoji on Telegram, a messenger program that is widely used by people around the world, due to persistent protests, and urged quick correction.

In response, Professor Seo said, "At the time of the Qatar World Cup, a scene of Japanese supporters cheering with kamikaze T-shirts was made public, causing a great deal of controversy."

He said, "Kamikaze is still being used around the world and products are being sold openly, but we will steadily eliminate it together with netizens."
