Suspect Choi Won-jung (22), who was involved in the Bundang Seohyun Station Massacre, which left 14 people dead and injured, has revealed his true face.

Around 9 a.m. on August 10th, the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency detained Choi, who is suspected of murder, attempted murder, and attempted murder, and sent him to the Suwon District Public Prosecutors' Office in Seongnam.

Choi, whose identity information has been released, left the Suzy Police Station detention center today and headed for the patrol vehicle without covering his face with a hat or mask.

When asked by reporters whether he felt guilty about the crime, Choi replied, "I am so sorry for the victims, and I hope the victims who are in the hospital recover quickly. "I would like to express my condolences to the deceased victims and express my sincere apologies to the bereaved families."

Suspect Choi stood on the photoline and claimed that he had been the victim of "organized stalking" for several years.

At around 5:56 pm on the 3rd, Choi hit pedestrians in front of the AK Plaza department store in Seohyeon-dong, Bundang-gu, which is connected to Seohyeon Station on the Suin Bundang Line. He is accused of wielding a weapon at a department store after rushing into a car.

One person died and 13 were injured. One of the injured, a woman in her 20s who was hit by a car, was reportedly still brain dead.

Police have tentatively concluded that Choi, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2020, had not received any treatment until recently and committed the crime while delusional.
