Kadena Air Base is a large-scale air base with two runways. The 18th Wing has an air squadron, a civil engineering corps, a maintenance corps, and a medical corps under its control. The air squadron consists of 1 to 3 combat squadrons (mainly F-15), aerial refueling squadron (KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft), and aerial air control squadron (E-3B).
Kadena Air Base, which has a total of more than 90 air powers, will play the role of an outpost that carries out special operations and reconnaissance missions to seize air superiority. The US Army's anti-aircraft regiment, which operates the 82nd Reconnaissance Squadron (RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft), the 733th Air Mobility Squadron, and the Patriot PAC-3, is also stationed. During the June 25th War (*Korean War, which began on June 25th, 1950), a B-29 bomber that took off from Kadena Air Base set sail on the Korean Peninsula.
● White Beach Area (Okinawa Prefecture)
The US Navy's offensive nuclear-powered submarines mainly call at ports. A significant number of nuclear-powered submarines calling at White Beach are equipped with Tomahawk missiles with nuclear warheads. In addition to nuclear submarines, assault landing ships and supply ships also call at ports. There is also a US Navy oil storage facility.
