Korean Prof protests Japan Meteorological Agency's Map that issues Typhoon warnings... "It marks Dokdo as its own territory"
In conveying information about Typhoon No. 11, the Japan Meteorological Agency has caused controversy in South Korea by describing Takeshima (Korean name: Dokdo) as its own territory. Meanwhile, Professor Seo Kyung-deok of Sungshin Women's University in Korea announced on September 5th that he had sent a protest email.

“This is a clear territorial provocation, as Dokdo is historically, geographically and internationally unequivocal territory of the Republic of Korea,” Seo said in the email. It also reportedly attached a Japanese-language video explaining why Dokdo is Korean territory, emphasizing that it should correct Dokdo as Korean territory and never make such a mistake again.

Regarding this, Professor Seo said, “In fact, for a long time, the weather app provided by the Japan Meteorological Agency, and Yahoo! Japan show Dokdo as Japanese territory, which drew controversy."
