Suddenly turn into thief within 5 minutes... Suspicious convenience store part-timer's 'bold theft' = Korea
In South Korea, a part-time worker at a convenience store stole goods and cash five minutes after starting work, and was caught by the police.

According to Channel A on October 6th, the Seoul Gangdong Police Station applied a theft charge to A, who was a part-time worker at a convenience store on the 30th of last month, and sent him to the prosecution.

A is suspected of committing theft just five minutes after starting a part-time job at a convenience store around 11:00 pm on September 27th.

His crime was discovered by the store owner who was checking the security cameras in the store. The owner, who was looking for a one-day part-time job for someone who was originally scheduled to work, was surprised when he saw the security camera.

A security camera captured a part-time worker, A, stealing items and cash from the store. A sat on a chair in front of the cash register and looked at his mobile phone, then took out a paper bad and emptied the register.

A took two mobile phone chargers, put them in his bag, took out a transportation card from his trouser pocket and charged 200,000 won (about US$150). Not only this, but this time he took out a black plastic bag and put cash in the safe. The amount of cash A stole was about 300,000 won (about $250).

The store owner who confirmed this immediately reported to the police, and A was caught red-handed. "I jumped up in surprise when I saw people putting money in a plastic bag," the store owner told Channel A.

It is said that A appealed to the store owner, saying, "I worked at the store directly managed by the head office for about two years."

In a police investigation, A was reported to have stated that he was unable to find a job and had no living expenses.
