[Full text] "TREASURE", Bang Yedam & Mashiho withdraw... YG "Organize into a 10-member group"

Bang Yedam and Mashiho of the Korean boy group "TREASURE" will leave the group. Management office YG Entertainment made an official announcement on the 8th.

"TREASURE", which debuted in August 2020, became a Hot Topic as a group to which Bang Yedam, former member of the SBS audition "K-POP Star" Season 2, belongs. Last month, they made a comeback with the release of their second mini-album 'THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER TWO'.

First of all, we would like to sincerely thank all the TREASURE MAKERS (TREASURE fans) who support TREASURE, and we would like to inform you about TREASURE's future activity plans as follows.

In the future, TREASURE will reorganize the group into a 10-member group consisting of Choi Hyun Suk, Ji Hoon, Yoshi, Jun Kyu, Yoon JaeHee Yeok, Asahi, Do Yeong, Haruto, Park Jung Woo, and So Jung Hwan. After a long discussion with MASHIHO and VAN YE DAM, we ended our exclusive contract.

In a situation where MASHIHO needs enough time to recover for health reasons, Bang Ye-dam made the decision with the intention of creating an environment where he can grow up as a producer with his own music color.

We understand that the fans have been waiting for the return of Mashiho and Bang Yedam, and we are also very disappointed because they have spent time together as 'TREASURE'. However, please give words of encouragement and support to Mashiho and Bang Yedam, who have suffered more than anyone else.
