'Island' Kim Nam Gil, 'I refused to appear twice'
Korean actor Kim Nam Gil revealed the reason why he refused to appear.

On the afternoon of the 22nd, a production presentation for TVING "Island" (original title/script: Oh Bo-hyun, director: Bae Jong) was held at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Director Bae Jong, actors Kim Nam Gil, Lee Da Hee, "ASTRO" Cha EUN WOO, and SungJun attended the production presentation.

'Island' is based on the comic of the same name by Korean comic masters Yoon In-wan and Yang Kyung-il. It's a TV Series depicting the journey of people who have a destiny to fight against the evil that wants to destroy the world.

On this day, Kim Nam Gil said, "I've been a big fan of comics for a long time. When I received an offer (to appear), I turned it down twice. Making it into a live-action film itself was a burden. The TV series industry has grown significantly. But before that, I was burdened by wondering why 'Island' wasn't made into a live-action film."

He continued, "I was personally a big fan of 'Island', and the original was so popular that there was definitely a fan base, and I really thought that even if I did well, it wouldn't be enough. I didn't have the confidence that I could do well either. I was worried that I would disappoint the fans of the original work, including myself. However, I found myself (shooting) with the actors in Cheju Island." It will be released for the first time on the 30th.
