On the afternoon of the 22nd, at the TVING original TV series 'Island' production presentation held at Conrad Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Director Bae Jong, actor Kim Nam Gil and actress Lee Da Hee, Cha Eun Woo, and actor SungJun participated in the talk about the work.
The TV series, which will be released on the 30th of this month, is based on the manga of the same name by authors Yoon In-wan and Yang Kyung-il, and features characters who are destined to fight against the evil that is trying to destroy the world. It is a TV Series depicting the itinerary of Ban (Kim Nam Gil), a half-human, half-demon who has spent thousands of years to fight off the evil spirits that attacked the mysterious island of Jeju. Miho (played by Lee Da Hee) and Yohan (played by Cha Eun Woo), the youngest exorcist priest with the highest ability on earth, will explore the process of finding a way out of the ruthless laws of cause and effect.
Cha Eun Woo plays the role of Johann, the youngest exorcist of the Vatican, who is hip in the play, and attempts a 180-degree transformation in acting.
He said, "I received the script first before I knew the original comic, but when I read the script for the first time, I was attracted to the character Johan. It was a big feeling," he recalled.
He continued, "I met the director, talked about everything, and talked a lot with Kim Nam Gil, but I was very happy when he said, 'Let's do it together." he showed his affection for his work.
Regarding the character, he said, "On the outside, he's cheerful, bright, and playful, but inside, he hides a sad past." He is strong when he does his main job (= exorcism).
Meanwhile, 'Island' will be released on TVING on the 30th. It will also be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
