The US News & World Report (USNWR), a current affairs magazine in the United States, announced the ranking of the “2022 World’s Strongest Countries” on December 31st (local time).
The USNWR evaluated the ranking by combining the military, economic, and diplomatic power of each country. For this reason, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 17,000 people in 85 countries around the world.
The U.S. ranks first, with the USNWR evaluating it as the “most dominant economic and military power in the world.” Next, it explained, "Culturally, it has taken the lead in a considerable part of music, movies, and television, and is expanding its influence all over the world."
China ranked 2nd, Russia ranked 3rd, Germany ranked 4th, and the United Kingdom ranked 5th.
Regarding South Korea, which ranked 6th, the USNWR said, "South Korea's advanced technology and service-based economy became the first beneficiary of the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) Development Assistance Committee Fund as a successful case of foreign investment."
France ranked 7th, Japan ranked 8th, UAE (United Arab Emirates) ranked 9th, and Israel ranked 10th. Japan is down two places from the previous year.
