Singer PSY appointed as 'specially appointed professor' at university = South Korea
South Korean singer PSY (real name: Park Jae-sang) has been appointed as a specially appointed professor at Yonsei University Yonsei Academy of Arts.

Yonsei University announced on April 15th, "On the 13th, an appointment ceremony was held to appoint PSY as a specially appointed professor at the Yonsei Academy of Arts." PSY, who was appointed as a specially appointed professor, will take on the role of a specially appointed professor, including special lectures and seminars on popular art education, publicity and cooperation activities of Yonsei Art Academy, and other educational advisories.

At the appointment ceremony, PSY said, "I am proud as a popular artist to start practical music and popular arts at Yonsei University. I will go where I am needed as a person and do my duty."

Yonsei University President Seo Seung-hwan said, "I am grateful to Mr. Park Chae-sang (PSY) for accepting the position of specially appointed professor at the Yonsei Academy of Arts. Yonsei University will not hesitate to actively support and encourage PSY while he is working with us as a specially appointed professor at seminars."

Yonsei University's Yonsei Art Academy opened in March this year as an industry-collaborative educational institution that produces works that are directly connected to the art scene through popular integrated education and creates added value.
