Seoul announces fines of 3M won to representatives of Korea Disabled Association for subway station demonstrations = Korea
The city of Seoul announced on April 14th that it had notified the National Federation for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities in advance of fines related to the subway station demonstrations at the request of the police.

The two people who will be fined are Park Kyung-seok, president of the Federation of Disabled Persons, and Park Mi-joo, secretary-general of the Federation, each of whom will be fined 3 million won.

From the 11th to the 26th, the city will decide whether to issue this notice after considering the appropriateness of the imposition of fines after receiving opinions from the Zenshoren side.

Earlier, on the 5th, the police sent an official document to the city of Seoul, requesting that CEO Park Kyung Suk and secretary general Park Mi Joo be fined for violating the railway safety law.

Last month, the police ruled that the All Disability Federation violated provisions related to the Railway Safety Act by placing dozens of stickers on the floor and walls during a demonstration at the Sichon (City Hall) station on Seoul Subway Lines 1 and 2, even though staff members prevented them from doing so.

Article 49, Paragraph 1 of the Railway Safety Act stipulates that "people who use trains or railway facilities must follow the instructions of railway workers for the safety, protection and order maintenance of the railway."

Violators will be fined 3 million won the first time, 6 million won the second time, and 9 million won for more than three times.
