Korean cult leader JMS's No. 2 on suspicion of helping sexual assault, arrest review
"JMS No. 2" Jung Jo-eun (real name: Kim Ji Sung) is suspected of helping Jeong Myung-seok, the president of the Christian Gospel Mission (JMS), in relation to the sexual assault of a female believer. It will be decided on April 17th whether or not to arrest her.

At 2:30 pm on the same day, the Daejeon District Court announced that it would hold an interrogation (substantial examination of the warrant) against Jeong Jo-eun, who is accused of quasi-rape and other charges.

On the other hand, Jeong Jo-eun is suspected of leading female followers to Jung Myung-seok, complicit in the crime by silently admitting the fact of sexual assault, and knowingly assisting.

Regarding this, Jung Jo-eun said, "I prevented women from coming within a radius of 3 meters from the teacher" through a service at a church in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, which I am in charge of. She denied the charges, saying, "I tried to prevent it to the extent that I could."

However, among the victims, Jeong Jo-eun continued to make detailed statements of damage, saying that he played a role in selecting the women and taking them to Jung Myung-seok. In particular, Australian Amy, who has been sexually assaulted by Jung Myung-suk several times since 2018, released the recording data with Jung Jo-eun to the media, saying, "Jung Jo-eun said, 'If you feel sorry for your teacher (Jung Myung-seok), you should do better. The teacher will be most pleased to see you work harder."

Amy said, "Jung Jo-eun couldn't see me being sexually assaulted in person, but she already knew a lot. I think she knew very well what was going on behind that door."

On the other hand, the five assistant pastors of the World Missions Headquarters were also interrogated before arrest on the same day on suspicion of aiding indecent assault.

From February 2018 to September 2021, Jung Myung Suk committed obscene acts on a Hong Kong female believer, Ms.A (29), 17 times at a training center located in Geumsan County, Chungcheongnam-do. From July 2018 to the end of the year, he was arrested and indicted on suspicion of sexually harassing (quasi-rape, etc.) Ms.B (31), an Australian citizen, 5 times.

Jung Myung Suk was released in 2018 after serving a 10-year prison term for lewd acts and sexually assaulting four female followers in their 20s in Malaysia and Hong Kong from 2001 to 2006.
