North Korea successfully conducted a ground jet test of a solid-fuel engine for a new intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) aimed at striking the U.S. military base in Guam, where North Korea deploys strategic assets and additional troops in the event of an emergency on the Korean Peninsula.
