Samsung, a latecomer to communications equipment, aims to expand market with open RAN = South Korea

Samsung Electronics' Network Division recently announced that it is collaborating with Canadian telecommunications carrier Telus on virtualized base stations (vRAN) and base station-related equipment for fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication systems.
