”Japanese private companies repair U.S. warships”...discussed at next month's Japan-U.S. summit meeting

The Japanese and U.S. governments have begun coordinating efforts to allow Japanese private companies to carry out large-scale repairs to U.S. Navy vessels in Japan. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will meet US President Joe Biden next month to discuss these matters.
