On the 3rd (local time), the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) recommended that the South Korean government withdraw its plan to abolish the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and immediately appoint a new Minister for Gender Equality and Family.
