Next year's World Heritage Committee meeting to be held in Busan - South Korea intends to include Japan-South Korea conflict over Sado Island gold mines and other issues on the agenda

A unique Korean ceremony to commemorate the workers of the Sado Island Gold Mine, a World Heritage Site in Sado City, Niigata Prefecture, was held in the city on the 21st of this month. Around 20 people, including the families of the workers and Ambassador to Japan Lee Hyuk, attended.
