Number of newborns in July falls below 20,000...for the first time in the same month = South Korea

In South Korea, the number of newborns in July fell below 20,000 for the first time, marking the lowest number ever. According to the July population trends announced by the Korea Statistical Office on the 27th, the number of births was 19,000.
There were 102 people, a decrease of 1,373 (6.7%) from a year ago. This is the first time that the number of people in July has fallen below 20,000 since monthly statistics began being compiled in 1981.
The number of children born compared to the same month in the previous year has been decreasing for more than six years since December 2015, and increased by 13 in September last year, but it has fallen again since October.
The trend of decline has continued for the past 10 months. In addition, the crude birth rate, which is the number of children born per 1,000 people, was 4.4, a decrease of 0.3 from a year ago.
On the other hand, the number of deaths in July was 28,239, an increase of 2,166 (8.3%) from a year ago. In addition, the number of deaths compared to the same month last year is as follows:
