[Individual interview] Stage ”Home” cast Lee Woo-gon (TRITOPS*), Jang YooJun (TRITOPS*), No Min Woo (BF), Naoko Amihama, Yusaku Kiyama ”Family” A heartwarming performance that reaffirms the importance of Please come and see it with your whole family! ”
The play ``Home'', based on singer Yusaku Kiyama's song ``Home'', which was a big hit in 2008, has been rewritten with the theme of family love, and will be re-performed in October with a new cast.
Established. The stage play ``Home'' features Yuichi (Lee Woo-gon), the family-oriented eldest son who dreams of becoming a musician and sings on the streets, and Sota (No Min Woo), the third son who continues to be a street singer with Yuichi despite being in a wheelchair.
This is the story of the Yamago family, which consists of three brothers, the pragmatic second son Kenji (YooJun Chan), who opposes their activities, and their single mother Mitsuko (Naoko Amihama), who watches over them cheerfully and warmly.
At the time of the interview, the entire cast had only gathered together for one rehearsal, and this was the first day that YooJun, who played the role of the second son Kenji, and Amihama, who played the role of the mother, met for the first time. However, in the interview, the ``Yamago family''
The mother and three brothers spoke about their enthusiasm for the stage in a friendly, family-like atmosphere. Q. At the premiere last March, Korean artists RUI and Kenta Akizawa
Akira, Keisuke Soma, and Maiko Kawakami play the characters of the Yamago family. Wasn't there some pressure from being compared to your first play, ``Yamagoya''?
Woo Gong: I heard from the people around me that it was a good work, so I definitely feel pressure. But this time's cast also
I'm confident, so I'm looking forward to it because I think I'll be able to create a different atmosphere than last time. YooJun: Rather than feeling the pressure of being compared to last time, I feel that the character of my role is
My character has a calm personality, and it's difficult to express that, and even though I've practiced many times, I don't seem to have a calm personality, so there's a bit of pressure.
vinegar. I wonder if I can do it well... Minwoo: Last time there were a lot of Japanese cast members, and this time we have three foreigners, so I think we have to work even harder than before.
Amihama: I hope it will be a new stage play that people who saw last year's performance won't think is the same, so I think it will probably be a completely different and warm work.
. That's what I think when I look at these three, so I don't feel any pressure, and I'm looking forward to it because I feel like I'm creating something new. Q
.You have only had one rehearsal, but how is the atmosphere in the rehearsal room?
Amihama: The three of us already have the atmosphere of brothers, so I guess I should just step into that.
I tought. If I were to talk about a mood maker, it would be my third son. YooJun: Yes. Minwoo: Did I do something? (laughs)
YooJun: But my mother (Amihama-san) was very kind to us, and the atmosphere was great.
I think it's also good. Amihama: I have to show myself more (lol). But I think it's really difficult to get the lines in Japanese, and there were a lot of lines written in Korean in the script.
But aren't all the lines written in the script in Japanese? I think it's difficult for people watching to panic and think, ``What is this?!''
I hope we can have fun together and create an atmosphere where the dialogue comes naturally. Q. How did you prepare for the role?
YooJun: This morning, I was looking on YouTube to see if there were any characters in Korean TV series whose personalities were similar to the character I play. There should definitely be one, but
I can't remember the name of the TV Series, so I haven't been able to find it yet. Minwoo: I just happened to see you searching for it, but in the play, YooJun plays a character who works at a bank.
I was searching for ``hairstyles of people who work at banks'' (lol). Everyone: (laughs). YooJun: I searched but couldn't find anything in particular (lol).
Amihama's mother: I have something good, so I'll tell you. 73 split (lol). YooJun: It's different these days (lol).
Woo Gong: I think it's good to have a sense of trust (lol). Everyone: (laughs). Woo Gong: I'm going to be playing the guitar on stage, and I haven't even practiced yet, so I feel a lot of pressure... But I'll do it
I have no choice but to do my best and do my best. YooJun: Are you singing “Home”? Minwoo: “Home” will also be sung, and other songs are also scheduled to be sung.
Ugong: I thought it was an air guitar... Amihama: Air guitar wasn't allowed...
Woo Gong: I have no choice but to do it... I've played one or two songs so far, but I don't have the ability to show them... All you have to do is try your best
do not have. Minwoo: The song "Home" is extremely famous in Korea, so I'm working together and relying on everyone to do my best. I sang that song with my eldest son Yuichi.
However, I listen to it many times every day and try my best to keep up with it. Woo Gong: Min Woo is very serious. Use my song in the audition scene
So, I kept listening to my songs, and when I saw him like that, I thought he was very serious. YooJun: Also, since I'm in a wheelchair, I was worried about whether I would be able to keep my legs still.
Yeah. Minwoo: That's right. Also, my role is in a wheelchair and I can't move my legs, so I'm worried that I'll have to move my legs. Even though I only had to move my hands, my legs moved naturally... Do that all the time
I am practicing while keeping this in mind. Amihama: It was a role that I could have played quite naturally without having to prepare for the role. In fact, even at home, people call me "Mom," and even in the field, "Mom."
I've been called ``Mother'' all the time, so I've naturally put myself in the role. I think it would be nice to be able to play the role without having to make it up too much. Q.
In the production announcement, Ugon said that he would make a mistake in saying the line "hors d'oeuvre," but are there any other difficult Japanese phrases?
Woo Gong: All Koreans are like that, but sometimes people point out that it's difficult to say things like "zajizuzezo" or "tsu." Since it's a Japanese setting, I can't pronounce it properly.
If I don't have it, people will laugh at me even in moving scenes or serious scenes, so I'm really worried about that. After all, we have no choice but to do our best.
YooJun: There were a lot of lines that I had never used before, even in Korean. The technical term “finance”
” or “financing”… Woo Gong: This is my first time hearing it (lol). YooJun: Even when I asked the Japanese staff, they said it was a difficult word. That kind of technical terminology is difficult, but I persisted.
Put on. Minwoo: I pay attention to my intonation. I have to be careful about saying the sentence from beginning to end, and I want to do my best not to look like a foreigner.
Woo Gong: But I think Min Woo's Japanese is the most beautiful. Minwoo: That's just how Koreans would hear it (lol).
Woo Gong: But it's on a different level. I realized that the basics are important (lol). Mr. Minwoo
Because I studied properly... Minu: I was studying by looking at the textbook. Woo Gong: We just want to survive (lol). Everyone: (laughs).
Ugon: I learned a lot of strange Japanese (lol).
YooJun: It's like we don't have a license (lol). Everyone: (laughs). Q.
Do you sometimes ask Mr. Amihama about Japanese? Amihama: Even if I don't try to teach them, I can ask the director about each intonation,
I make corrections quickly, so I think the audience will be impressed if the lines have a warmer feel. If the warmth of the words and the nuances are conveyed, the audience will be drawn in.
So I think we should be flexible in that regard. I'm Japanese, so I can speak Japanese, but I wish I could speak Japanese (lol). They probably draw an audience
I think it's okay because it has that power. Q. Did you learn Korean? Amihama: I haven't learned it yet. I don't think there's enough time, so I'll have to do the lines from now on.
There are a lot of words, and if I were to ask, ``It's in Korean,'' I would be too presumptuous to say that (lol). As we got closer and we started to feel comfortable with each other, I started thinking, ``Now.
I'm thinking of asking him, ``I'm going to Korea sometime, so let me know.'' (laughs) Q. Based on the title “Home”, if you were to live in Japan, where would you like to live?
Woogon: I'm from Kamakura. The staff live there and we go there to play, and it has a really nice atmosphere and is beautiful, so I thought I'd like to live there.
YooJun: I also like Kamakura, but if I were to live, I would choose Roppongi (lol). Everyone: (lol) Minwoo: Well, I'll be in Ginza (lol). Everyone: (laughs).
Minwoo: For me, anywhere in Japan. Every alley in Japan has a great atmosphere, and it's supposed to be the same as Korea, but...
It's a good atmosphere. Even though the sky is the same as in Korea, there's something different about it... Woo Gong: Min Woo certainly has that side. Even though we're walking together, to me it just seems like the sky, but Mi...
Nu always says, ``Today's sky is so beautiful,'' and I think he has the luxury of being able to see things like that. Everyone: (laughs). Woo Gong: I don’t have that luxury (lol), and I think Min Woo is pure.
is. Q. Based on the title “Home”, what are your memories with your family? Woo Gong: I also aimed to become a singer, just like in the story of the stage of “Home”.
Since I lived in Busan, it was difficult for me to go to Seoul, so my parents were against it, but in the end I ended up going to Seoul, and even my parents, who were against it, supported me.
I was happy that my dream had come true, and the people who were the most happy about my dream coming true were my parents, so I have fond memories of that.
YooJun: I also gave presents to my parents. A new car. Do your best.
Amihama: Amazing! I'm jealous of (Woo Gong's parents). Mr. Kiyama, have you ever received one from your child? Kiyama: I like robots and figures. MARVE
Something like L. My eldest son is like me and likes things like that, so I was really happy when he gave me a MARVEL figure the other day. But I wonder if it's okay for me to be this happy at this age?
I felt embarrassed (laughs). Woo Gong: I put my parents through a lot of trouble, so I remembered that and gave them a present.
Amihama: If you get it from a child, it would be a waste and you wouldn't be able to ride it.
YooJun: My mom doesn't drive (lol). Amihama: So, home?
YooJun: Well then, let's go to Roppongi (lol). I'll try my best someday. Minwoo: I have lived away from my family for quite a long time since I was in middle school, and my younger sister is also alone.
To be honest, I don't have as many memories with my family as I did with other families. But recently, I went on a trip with my whole family, including my puppy. It's really been about 10 years
It was a trip. The location wasn't that great, but I have very fond memories of being there with my family.
YooJun: Before I went to the military, I was on stage with my mother and father from Korea.
, my big sister, my sister's husband, and my niece all came to Japan to watch the concert, and the day after the concert, we went to Disneyland. However, there are many problems
There was a bull... After we left in a taxi, my sister's husband said he had forgotten his Disneyland ticket, so we went back and looked for the house, but in the end, he forgot the ticket from Korea.
I've been here... My sister is usually very kind, but she was very angry with her husband. I felt sorry for him, so I told him I could just buy another ticket and headed back.
It suddenly started raining... I forgot my ticket and the weather was terrible, so my sister was annoyed, but my husband was kind to her, and because of that, we became very good friends.
(laughs) That became a great memory. I think it's quite difficult to get along with your sister's husband, but we both know her very well, so it's very easy to get along with her husband.
We became good friends (lol). The weather got better soon after that, and I was able to go out and have fun. I have good memories of Disneyland. Q.
This time, Mr. Kiyama's masterpiece "home" has been made into a stage play, but if you were to put your own songs on stage, which song would you like to play on stage?
YooJun: TRITOPS✳︎ also has a song called “Home,” and I especially like that song. Isn't it a great thing to have a place to go back to even if you discharge?
Suuka. The three of us protected the place I returned to, and this song was created when I discharged and returned. It's a good song that says that wherever you are, your "home" is yours. So, that
I would like to put the song on stage. Minwoo: I've never thought about it, but there's a song called "That Day in May." The month we debuted was May, and we have been working together for 12 years.
It's a song that tells the story of what we've done. There were a lot of things that happened, including disbandment along the way, but group activities have been my whole life, so I think it would be great to set that story as the stage.
. It was a 12-hour performance (laughs). Everyone: (laughs). YooJun: A lot of things happened. Amihama: I'll go see it even if it's a long time (lol). YooJun: Let's make it into a TV series (lol).
Amihama: The title “That Day in May” also sounds like it could be a stage play. Q. Are there any other songs by Mr. Kiyama that you would like to adapt into a stage play?
Kiyama: I've released a lot of cover songs, but my original songs, like "home," are all songs that I write based on my own experiences.
. There's a song called ``Tabidatsu,'' and it's a song that sends a message to parents about a child leaving the nest, or from the perspective of a parent looking at a child starting out on their own. That was when my eldest son turned 20 years old.
It's a song inspired by the TV series, so it has a message similar to the TV series. Raising children is difficult, and if you're not good at it, you tend to tell your children to do this or that, but I've raised four children and what I think now is
Even if a parent says something, it means that the child has a unique personality, so while it may be a selfish thing to say, I don't think it's necessary for the child to do what he or she says. The child is fine on his own
I think it's the parents' job to watch over their children from a distance, even if they think about it and find the path they want to take, and their parents are against it. Parents are surprisingly
I thought there was nothing I could do. You can feed your child to their full stomach, but I don't think it's a good idea for parents to decide their child's future. The child decides for himself/herself.
I think that the ideal way for a parent to be is for the child to think about what he or she wants to do and then watch over the results from a little distance. A song with such a message
So, I still love it and sing it often. So I thought it would be great if I could put that on stage. Minwoo: Mom, you're crying.
Amihama: (wiping tears) I empathize with the parents' feelings...
Kiyama: That's what parents do... Amihama: I could imagine it just by listening to the story, so I have to listen to the song as well. Q.
Lastly, please give a message to those who will be watching your performance.
Woo Gong: We're all working really hard, so I think we'll be able to put on a moving stage. Please come and see
I hope that with that emotion, I can think about the importance of family once again. I still have a long way to go in Japanese, but I will try my best to be able to express my feelings seriously.
I want to do my best. Please come and see it. YooJun: I think our emotions will be conveyed to your heart, and I think you'll be reminded once again that family is the most important thing in the world, so I'm looking forward to watching the play.
I hope you go home feeling happy. Please come and see it with your family. Minwoo: I think it's a work that you can definitely go home feeling good about after watching the play. Casty
I personally think that everyone who participated in this series is a good combination, so I will work together more closely to deliver good stories. thank you.
Amihama: I think a family has many roles: children, mothers, and fathers. Even when that role is no longer there
It's a work that really makes you feel that way again, and I think it will make people realize once again that family is a good thing. Please come and see it.
Kiyama: The stage is created using the song "home" as a motif, but the story is completely different from my life. However, in the lyrics, ``Only one thing in the world is my
There are many different kinds of families, but there is no doubt that there is only one sweet home in the world. My sweet home
I think this is a stage where you can feel the warmth of your heart. So, in order to send the warm thoughts of Sweet Home to many people, I will be singing to cheer them on, so please come to the theater.

Yuichi Yamago and his younger brother Souta are street musicians who sing on the streets of this city, dreaming of one day being successful.
I spend my days singing on the street while working part-time. The second son, Kenji, is a bank employee who opposes this activity, which makes little money.
The three of them are ``brothers'' who lost their father when they were young and were raised by their mother alone.
One day, a turning point comes for Yuichi and Souta. However, there are harsh realities and pitfalls,
There was a wall. What does it mean to become an adult? Which path should they choose to become adults? Each family has its own form and has various expressions.
This is a story of love related to family.
