President Yoon meets with ministers from six Caribbean countries and requests support for Busan Expo = South Korea

According to the South Korean Presidential Office, President Yoon met with Jamaica's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of International Trade and Industry, Srinagar, who visited South Korea to attend the 13th Korea-Caribbean High-Level Forum.

He met with the Secretary General of the ACS (ACS). President Yoon said, ``Although we are geographically distant from the countries of the Caribbean region, we share universal values of freedom, human rights, and the rule of law, and we will continue our journey together in the future.''

President Yun recalled that he held summit meetings with many Caribbean countries on the occasion of the United Nations General Assembly in September, and discussed cooperation in a variety of fields, including climate change, food security, and IT.
``Let's work together so that cooperation between the two regions can be promoted with more substance,'' he said. President Yoon also said that Busan has led South Korea's development from the ruins of war.
He explained that the 2030 Busan Expo will be a place of solidarity to share science, history, and culture around the world, and requested the support of countries in the Caribbean region.
