「韓国の両替所で強盗」犯人をタジキスタンで検挙…現地で処罰
The culprit who robbed a South Korean money exchange office was arrested in Tajikistan and punished locally.
In August this year, a Tajikistan official used a model gun to threaten an employee at a money exchange office in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, stole 85 million won (approximately 9.4 million yen), and fled to his home country.
A man of Japanese nationality was arrested at the scene one month after the crime. Prior to this, South Korean police requested Interpol to place him on an international wanted list in order to arrest Suspect A, and with the cooperation of Interpol, they arrested Suspect A.
Ta. However, South Korea and Tajikistan do not have an extradition treaty, and the man is expected to be punished locally.
According to South Korean police on the 17th, Tajikistan's investigative agency investigated Pyeongtaek on the 25th of last month.
Suspect A (34), the perpetrator of the robbery that occurred at a money exchange office, has been taken into custody. Suspect A is Tajikistani national Suspect B (34) at a money exchange office in Pyeongtaek City around 11:50 a.m. on August 30th this year.
He is suspected of stealing 85 million won in cash and fleeing. After committing the crime, the two men fled using different means of transportation, including a stolen vehicle, two other vehicles, and a support vehicle.
It was later learned that the two departed from Incheon Airport at around 4:35 pm on the same day, four hours and 30 minutes after the crime, using the plane tickets they had prepared in advance.
Suspect B was arrested by the police at around 1:40 a.m. the next day on the 31st while waiting for departure at Incheon Airport. Police will translate the investigation materials against Suspect A and send them to Tajikistan's investigative authorities.
It's a policy. Suspect B was arrested and charged with special robbery. Police plan to conclude related investigations into three suspects, including suspect C, a Tajikistani national, who helped commit the crime.
