A man in his 50s was working at a steel factory in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea, when he was crushed by a machine and died.
At around 10:30 a.m. on the 26th, Mr. A, a worker in his 50s, was cutting steel at a steel factory in Aewon-gu, Masan, Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do.
While doing so, his head got caught in the machine. Mr. A was transported to a nearby hospital and received treatment, but was confirmed dead. Mr. A was working alone at the time of the accident, and the accounting staff member fell to the floor.
It turns out that he discovered it and reported it to the police. Police found marks on Mr. A's neck and head where he had been caught by a cutting machine, and believe that the accident occurred when Mr. A was caught in the machine while working.
It was learned that the factory in question is a small business with fewer than five employees and is not subject to the Act on Penalties for Serious Disasters. Police officials said, ``We are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident with company representatives and others.''
