“Trilateral Environmental Research Institute Directors Meeting” will be held from the 31st for a clean Northeast Asia = South Korea

From the 31st of this month to November 1st, the National Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Republic of Korea, a member of the Ministry of Environment, will hold the 20th ``City of Japan, Japan, Korea and Trilateral Environmental Research Institute Directors Meeting'' at the KKR Hotel in Tokyo to improve the quality of the environment in Northeast Asia.
He announced that he would be attending the meeting. The Tripartite Trilateral Environmental Research Institute Directors Meeting is an international conference that has been held every year since 2004 to scientifically resolve environmental issues in Northeast Asia.
The meeting is a place to discuss research cooperation plans between the three countries in general environmental fields such as climate, air, water, and health.
This 20th conference will be held face-to-face for the first time in four years since it was held non-face-to-face from 2020 to 2022.
Approximately 40 people are expected to attend, including Director Geum Han-soon of the Korea National Institute of Environmental Sciences, President Masahide Kimoto of the National Institute for Environmental Studies of Japan, and Director Li Hae-sung of the China Institute of Environmental Sciences.
The theme of this conference was "Exposure Factors for Hazard Assessment in Northeast Asia," and while sharing research results from each country, we also highlighted the progress status of priority collaborative research areas such as water environment, environmental health, and climate change.
There will be a discussion on the matter. Director Keum said, ``This meeting of environmental research institute directors will be an opportunity to look back on the results of research cooperation between the three countries over the past 20 years.''
