After the video was released and caused controversy, local police authorities released an official document on the same night.
According to police announcements, the suspect, Cao (36) from Henan Province, was suffering from emotional tangles.
He then got into a fight with the female victim, Mr. A, and attacked her with a deadly weapon. Fortunately, Mr. A was not injured. Two people who stopped the car were injured and taken to the hospital, but their injuries were not said to be life-threatening.
Police currently have Mr. Cao in custody and are investigating the details of the incident.
