'I don't have the confidence to raise my son'... Mother sentenced to heavy sentence for killing 5-year-old son = South Korea

A mother in her 40s in South Korea who murdered her young son and attempted suicide because she lacked confidence in raising children has been sentenced to a heavy sentence. According to the legal community on the 15th, the 13th Criminal Division of the Suwon District Court indicted him on suspicion of murder.
Mr. A (45) was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He was also ordered to be restricted from employment at a child-related institution for 10 years and placed on probation for five years.
At around 7:35 a.m. on March 30, Mr. A found his son sleeping at his home in Giandong, Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province.
He was put on trial on suspicion of attempting suicide after strangling Mr. B (5) to death. After Mr. A's husband arrived to work, he returned home after receiving a call from the kindergarten that Mr. B had not come to school, and the mother collapsed.
I found a child. Mr. A was unconscious at the time and was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, but Mr. B died.
Mr. A had been having trouble with Mr. B's aggressive behavior for several years.
On March 29, the day before the crime, she heard from the kindergarten director that ``B-kun is aggressive and violent and is inattentive,'' and she says she has no confidence in raising her son.
It turns out that he committed the crime with his thoughts in mind. A suicide note was found at the scene that read, ``It's painful. I'll take you away first.''
It turned out that Mr. A was diagnosed with depression about 10 years ago and had been taking medication.
The prosecutor's office requested that Mr. A be sentenced to 20 years in prison and requested a probation order from the court, saying, ``It is recognized that there is a possibility that Mr. A may commit the crime of murder again, and it is necessary to sentence him to probation after the execution of his sentence.''
The court stated, ``The defendant is extremely responsible for killing the child, abandoning his responsibility as a parent to protect and raise the child,'' but added, ``He has no prior criminal history and he confessed to the crime.''
