``Drug user'' in his 20s ``arrested'' after trying to open emergency door of ``passenger plane'' during flight = South Korea
In South Korea, police arrested a woman in her 20s who tried to force open the emergency door of a passenger plane after using methamphetamine.
On the 23rd, the Incheon International Airport Police Department said, ``There are suspicions of violation of the Aviation Security Act and the Narcotics Control Act.''
Suspect A (26-year-old female) was arrested and investigation is underway." Suspect A departed from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport at around 2 a.m. the day before (the 22nd) and arrived at the airport.
He is accused of trying to force open the emergency door of a Korean Air passenger plane heading to Chuo International Airport. Suspect A entered the plane at around 12:00 noon the previous day, 10 hours after the plane departed.
He suddenly started showing symptoms of anxiety and tried to open the emergency door several times, only to be stopped by the flight attendants. Police asked Suspect A, who arrived at Incheon International Airport at around 6pm the previous day, to accompany him voluntarily and investigated.
However, he was immediately arrested after a simple reagent test revealed a positive drug reaction. While the police are further investigating the details of Suspect A's crime, they are conducting a National Science Institute to confirm the type and amount of drugs used.
A detailed appraisal was requested from the Investigation and Research Institute. In June this year, a teenage male addicted to methamphetamine was arrested in South Korea after he tried to open the emergency door on a Jeju Air passenger plane.
