A man in his 30s who killed two of his cats by throwing them out of an apartment window has been brought to trial on charges of indictment without detention. On the 27th, the Detective Division 2 of the Changwon District Public Prosecutors Office in South Korea arrested Mr. A, who is in his 30s, at home on suspicion of violating the Animal Protection Act.
It was announced that charges had been filed. In June, Mr. A is suspected of killing two pet cats by throwing them 42 meters below the 12th floor of an apartment in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province.
He was found to have committed the crime while intoxicated for no particular reason.
After receiving information about Mr. A's crime, the animal protection organization KARA suspected him of violating the Animal Protection Act.
He was known for making accusations against him. A source told KARA, ``Suddenly, I heard a 'bang' sound, and when I looked, I saw that a cat was having a seizure on the ground.A person was upstairs in the building, looking out the window.
``The cat was hanging outside,'' and ``The cat was clinging to the person's arm, but the person removed the cat's legs one by one and threw the cat downwards with both hands.''
