A temporary male teacher in his 30s working at a middle school in Seoul has been referred to prosecutors on charges of molesting several male students.
According to the Korean Bar Association on the 5th, Seoul Seobu Police Station arrested a child this morning.
Suspect A, a male junior high school teacher in his 30s who is suspected of violating the Act on the Protection of Youth Sexuality, was detained and sent to the police. Suspect A works as a junior high school teacher in Seoul and teaches many male students.
He is charged with committing an indecent act. The school acknowledged that Suspect A had committed an indecent act and reported it to the police last month, after which it received complaints from numerous students who had been victimized.
Police searched Suspect A's residence and investigated whether there were any other students affected, and an arrest warrant was issued late last month.
