The South Korean President's Office said that the two had discussed the matter. The two parties first met at various levels, including the seventh summit meeting between President Yoon Seo-gyul and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida this year.
It was evaluated that the exchange was carried out smoothly. In addition, we will continue to maintain close communication and exchanges, and cooperate to bring out results that can be experienced by the people of both countries in various fields, including security, economy, and people-to-people exchanges.
We agreed to do so. In particular, the two sides agreed that North Korea's unprecedented provocations pose a serious threat not only to the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula, but also to the region and the international community as a whole.
They reaffirmed the need for cooperation between Japan and South Korea, Japan, the United States and South Korea, and strengthening solidarity among the international community in order to resolutely respond to nuclear and missile provocations. In addition, we will act as a core partner who shares values with local and international communities.
The two sides decided to continue communicating and cooperating for the sake of peace and stability.
