New Hanul Nuclear Power Plant No. 2 ”opening connection” succeeded... ”full-scale operation” in the first half of next year = South Korea

Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power announced on the 22nd, ``New Haneul Nuclear Power Plant Unit 2 has successfully opened and connected for the first time.'' "Open connection" means that electricity produced from a nuclear power plant is transmitted through transmission lines.
This means sending it to ordinary households and industrial sites. The latest connection was completed on September 19th, when fuel loading was completed, and various test runs including high-temperature function tests were carried out perfectly.
This is the result of what happened. Through this opening and connection, the new 1.4 million kilowatt-class Haneul Unit 2 will produce an average of approximately 700,000 kilowatts of electricity every hour during the trial run period, helping to meet the winter power supply and demand.
It is expected that Hwang Joo-ho, president of Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power, said, ``Even during the trial run process, we will prioritize safety.'' ``Through the trial run process, we will thoroughly confirm the safety of the nuclear power plant, and we will prepare for the first half of next year.''
