A man has been arrested in China's Sichuan province after stealing another person's car and driving after drinking. According to an announcement by local police on December 30th, the man was placed in administrative detention for 10 days for provoking others.
He has now been placed in criminal custody on suspicion of dangerous driving and is currently under investigation. Around 9pm (local time) on December 9th, the man went out to eat with his family in Luzhou City, Sichuan Province.
I was drinking at the time. After eating, the drunk man runs out onto the road and is almost run over by a van. When the wagon suddenly braked to avoid the man and stopped, the man slammed the hood several times.
He then went around to the driver's side and tried to force his way into the car. Fearing for his safety, the man driving the van ran out from the passenger side.

Police responded to the report and took custody of the man at the scene. After the man was placed in administrative detention for 10 days for provoking others, he was remanded to criminal detention on suspicion of dangerous driving.
