IU, a singer and actress who is active in all aspects of her career, shared her warmth and wrapped herself in warmth for her neighbors who need a helping hand.

On January 1st, her agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced, "On the 31st of last month, IU held an event called 'IUAENA' (a combination of IU and her fan club UAENA) to help the vulnerable people in winter heating and welfare to have a warmer winter. IU donated 200 million won for heating to four organizations, including the Korea Association of Welfare Facilities for the Elderly, the Korea Association of Child Welfare, the Korea Association of Unmarried Mothers, and the Korea Association of Welfare Facilities for the Disabled, so that the vulnerable groups can enjoy a warmer winter.

Over the past year, IU has also donated talents to a specialized child welfare organization, the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation, on Children's Day in May, followed by Mil-Al School, starting with a shared hand in January 2023 for a donation to collect love briquettes for low-income socially vulnerable people in Yangpyeong County, Kyunggi Province.

On her birthday in May, she donated 300 million won to the Heart Heart Foundation, The Direct Donation, Korea Unmarried Mothers Family Association, and the Korean Foundation for the Support of the Fragile Elderly and the Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone, and on her debut anniversary on September 18th, she donated 300 million won (approx. $30 million) to the "IUAENA" Foundation. On September 18th, the debut anniversary, IUAENA donated KRW 300 million to Seoul Hospital, Korea Children's Welfare Association, and Seoul Children's Hospital under the name of "IUAENA. Not only in the past year, but over the past several years, IU has set a heartwarming example by tirelessly donating money and arousing public interest in the culture of giving and sharing.

IU said through her agency, "The New Year has begun, and although I am not happy all 365 days of the year, I wish you a year in which the happy days far outnumber the sad ones. Happy New Year, everyone!" he said, wishing everyone a Happy New Year.
