2PM's Lee Juno has been drawing attention for his thoughts on the late actor Byun Hee-bong in his Grand Award acceptance speech.

On the 30th, the Entertainment Management Association of Korea held the "2023 APAN STAR AWARDS" at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and awarded the grand prize to Juno, it was announced on 31st.
The "2023 APAN STAR AWARDS" is a drama award ceremony that integrates the contents of all channels, including terrestrial, full-length, cable, OTT, and web dramas, and is the first and only award ceremony officially recognized by a popular culture and arts related organization. Actors who performed the best in all criteria were nominated for each category, and Juno won the grand prize.

He also won five trophies in total, including the Popularity Award, Global Star Award, Best Character Award, and Best Couple Award, all voted by fans, proving his presence as a popular actor who is loved by viewers at home and abroad.
Juno said immediately after receiving the grand prize, "My heart is about to explode because I received such a wonderful award in front of my seniors who are so wonderful. I didn't think I would actually get it, so I'm a little fuzzy about it, but I want to say thank you first."

He continued, "King the Land was a film that I chose because I wanted the audience to be happy without thinking. I believe that the energy of the scene will be conveyed to the viewers, and I think I received this award on behalf of the director, writers, fellow actors, and numerous staff members who worked together to create a happy scene," he said.

The late Byun Hee-bong passed away in September after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He received the Merit Award at the 2023 APAN STAR AWARDS.
