Himchan from ”BAP” is sentenced to 7 years in prison after being sexually assaulted for the third time

South Korean prosecutors have asked Himchan from the group BAP to be sentenced to seven years in prison after being accused of forcible indecency.
On the 16th, a case of assault on a woman was held at the Criminal Agreement Division 12 of the Seoul Western District Court (chief judge: Kwon Sung-soo).
, a trial was held for Himchan, who is charged with violating the Special Act on Punishment of Sexual Assault Crimes. On the same day, prosecutors asked Himchan to be sentenced to seven years in prison, along with a sexual violence treatment program.
The court requested that he be ordered to attend school, be required to disclose his former information, be restricted from working as a child/juvenile for 10 years, be required to wear an electronic location tracking device for 3 years, and be placed on probation for 4 years.
Prosecutors said, ``The victims suffered extremely severe psychological distress.''
During the trial, consideration was given to the risk of repeat offenses, such as causing another crime of indecent assault. We must also consider the influence that idols have on young people."
Previously, in 2018, Himchan was accused of forcibly molesting a woman in her 20s who accompanied her to a pension in Gyeonggi and Namyangju.
He was brought to trial on suspicion. He was later taken into court custody. In April 2022, while Himchan was on trial for his first charge of forcible indecency, he forced two women at a restaurant in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
An additional charge of indecent assault was revealed. Himchan paid each of the two female victims 10 million won (approximately 1 million yen) and submitted a written agreement.
The issue is that in May 2022, in the same year that he was facing a second charge of forcible indecency, he sexually assaulted and illegally filmed the victim in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul.
When the facts became clear, the second and third cases were merged. Himchan was in prison for the first charge of forcible indecency, and his 10-month sentence ended last month, but due to the additional charge.
is undergoing trial. In response, Himchan said, ``I am repenting at the correctional facility. I feel sorry for the victims.'' He added, ``We have apologized to all the victims and have come to an agreement.
I hope that you will consider this and treat me kindly.'' Prosecutors asked Himchan to be sentenced to seven years in prison. All eyes are on whether Himchan will be sentenced to prison on the sentencing date.
Meanwhile, the declaration date is 10am on the 1st of next month.
