South Korea indicts former actress and entertainment facility manager who extorted 300 million won from late Lee Sun Kyun

A former actress and the manager of an entertainment facility who blackmailed the late actor Lee Sun Kyun (48) and stole 350 million won (approximately 38.86 million yen) were put on trial.
On the 23rd, the Incheon District Public Prosecutors Office arrested and indicted defendant A (28, female), a former movie actor, on charges of blackmail and attempted blackmail.
Prosecutors also charged Defendant B (29, female), the manager of an entertainment facility, who had already been detained and indicted on charges of using psychotropic substances and marijuana under the Narcotics Control Act, and brought him to trial together with an additional charge of extortion.
Defendant A is accused of demanding 200 million won (approximately 22.2 million yen) from Lee Sun Kyun in October last year, blackmailing her, and stealing 50 million won (approximately 55.52 million yen).
At that time, Defendant A contacted Mr. Lee, whom he did not know directly, and said, ``I intend to have Mr. B (who used drugs) detained, but I also have to receive the money.''
``Let's collect all the money (300 million won) that I gave to him and settle it with 200 million won (give it to me),'' the investigation said. Defendant B called Mr. Lee in September last year, prior to defendant A's crime, and said,
An unknown hacker is trying to expose our relationship. "We have to protect ourselves with money," he said, and is accused of stealing 300 million won.
The prosecutor's office was referred these cases by the police on the 5th of this month, and extended the detention case of defendant A once and conducted a supplementary investigation.
Defendant B was arrested and indicted in November last year on charges of using methamphetamine and marijuana three times, and is currently on trial at the Incheon District Court. Defendant A, who had been sentenced to prison on charges of fraud, is a drug user.
He met defendant B, who has six previous convictions, in prison, and since then they have lived in the same apartment building as defendant B and have been close friends for about seven years. A prosecutor official said, ``The suspects were indicted today,'' but
