Key (SHINee) becomes a campaign model for Korean Mac's Quarter Pounder Cheese this year.
McDonald's Korea announced on the 23rd that it has appointed Kee, a member of the boy group SHINee, as a campaign model for its "Quarter Pounder Cheese" campaign.

 Kee has been active in a wide range of activities from variety shows to movies, not to mention music. It was known that Key actually likes McDonald's Double Quarter Pounder cheese through the program.

 McDonald's explained, "We chose Key as our model because his multifaceted talents, loved by men and women of all ages, match the image of the classic Quarter Pounder cheese. The hope is that Key, who was chosen as the campaign model for this year's campaign as well as last year, will use her experience to convey the taste and appeal of the product to consumers.

 The Quarter Pounder Cheese is McDonald's signature beef burger menu item, loved for its combination of meat and cheese and featuring a thick, pure beef patty weighing up to 113 grams (one-quarter pound).

 McDonald's will launch a new limited-edition Quarter Pounder cheese menu on January 25, and will release a campaign video via TV and social media. The video will show Key as a new employee of McDonald's marketing team and a double Quarter Pounder cheese "true fan for 12 years".

 A McDonald's representative said, "We decided to work with Key as a campaign model this year because he is not only a fan of Double Quarter Pounder Cheese, but also because we believe that he can convey fun to consumers with his unique charm. We are planning to launch a variety of marketing activities, including a new ad video for this campaign with Key, so we hope to receive a lot of attention.
