”Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, plagiarism allegations surfaced in a Japanese TV series... ``Confirmation of similarity, response yet''
The production company has clarified its stance on the suspicion that the Japanese TV series ``Alice in Wonderful Kitchen'' plagiarized the Korean TV series "Extraordinary Attorney Woo".

The production company clarified its position on the allegation that the Japanese drama "Alice in Wonderful Kitchen" plagiarized the Korean drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."

On the 29th, a representative from ENA's "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" production company, A Story, responded to eDaily's allegations of plagiarism, stating, "We have confirmed the similarities between 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' and a Japanese drama, but we will keep an eye on it (Alice in Wonderful Kitchen) since it was released last week.

As for the response plan, he said, "We don't have one right now. We will keep an eye on it since it has two episodes out," he added.

On the 21st, after the first broadcast of the Japanese broadcaster NTV drama "Alice in Wonderful Kitchen," the Japanese media pointed out the similarities between the drama and Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The similarities include the fact that the main character is on the autism spectrum and that she grew up with a father who lived alone. They are also similar in that Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin) is a lawyer and Alice (Kadowaki Mugi) is a cook, and although they are in different professions, they are geniuses.

When the plagiarism controversy first surfaced in Japan, one Japanese media criticized, "It looks like they tried to make a Japanese version of Extraordinary Attorney Woo."

Extraordinary Attorney Woo ended its broadcast in August 2022, recording a viewer rating of 17.5% and garnering syndrome-level popularity.
